How might we transform a university campus in a smart campus using emerging technologies?

Emerging Technologies for Education

Creating a team for a project is not always an easy task for the students as well as for the teachers. Teaming 4.0 offers a software based solution that allows students to log in, find their active projects and choose their teamates on the basis of peers and teachers evaluation.

For each team, a student can assess his/her own teammates’ skills and the overall satisfaction with the team; while the teacher can evaluate the work done and the team performance. With this data, students' profile will constantly retrieve feedback which will help to generate a  rating of their personal and interpersonal skills and competences. Artificial ntelligence (AI) will learn from these evaluations and iterate to match the profiles that have worked the best, creating teams with a higher rate of success and better performance possibilities. This will also prevent the matching of discordant profiles and help ensuring a good team experience.

The solution is innovative as applications using AI to analyse data coming from co-evaluations to create high performance teams are not available on the market. Its implementation and regular use can have an impact at individual and group level (by increasing team members satisfaction and offering recognition for their personal/interpersonal skills) as well as at institutional level (boosting teams performance and institution prestige). The solution, with some customisation, is transferable to different contexts.
