DescriptionWorking from a zero-emissions sailboat, Blue Cradle brings together an interdisciplinary team working on three streams: a research programme, an educational programme and a digital outreach programme. Building partnerships with scientific institutions, start-ups, but also broadcasters, our aim is to communicate widely on these impact solutions, promoting young scientists, young entrepreneurs, and ultimately young human beings that are working to solve some of the world’s greatest challenges with the ocean.
Kia ora, my name is James Nikitine,
I’m a marine scientist, and I’m the Founder of Blue Cradle, a new organisation that works showcasing ocean health impact solutions through storytelling and inspiring science documentaries, educating on the regenerative blue economy and ocean literacy, from New Zealand and beyond.
With knowledge comes caring, and with caring comes impactful change, through investment.
Some of the projects are related to sustainable fishing, aquaculture, energy, biotechnology, big data, marine conservation, nature-based solutions, but they all share one thing in common: they are all led by passionate individuals who understand the importance of our blue cradle. We will launch a digital platform that will give visibility to these projects, reaching wide audiences and will publish a best practice handbook that will inventory these solutions.

The ocean is our cradle. So, let’s return to it.
