    Pay-it-forward gonorrhea and chlamydia testing among young men who have sex with men

    Around the world, young men who have sex with men lack the access to the sexual health services they need. This includes a lack of screenings for many sexually transmitted infections, such as Gonorrhea and Chlamydia infections. In many countries, STI testing is not subsidized, meaning many young people are faced with financial barriers, a lack of community support and a subsequent increased likelihood of contracting STIs.

    RX Radio is a radio station that is run by and for children at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. With the outbreak of COVID-19, reporters began utilising WhatsApp voice-notes and other remote recording methods to gather content about the pandemic and act as an educational, informational and entertainment tool for audiences and their families. Children are also given the opportunity to work as young reporters, creating clear, helpful PSAs in various languages to educate fellow children and their families on COVID-19.

Каждый год от предотвратимых болезней умирает более миллиона молодых людей. Мы можем изменить ситуацию. Новаторское мышление и возможности технологической революции помогут лидерам и молодежи мира вместе создать новое глобальное движение. Настало время раскрыть наш творческий и новаторский потенциал и переосмыслить вопросы здоровья и благополучия молодежи.

    В марте 2020 г. Всемирная организация здравоохранения (ВОЗ) при поддержке Управления информационно-коммуникационных технологий ООН (УИКТ ООН), ЮНЭЙДС, Всемирной продовольственной программы (ВПП) и ЮНИСЕФ объявили о начале инициативы «Новый шаг к здоровью и благополучию – обеспечим безопасность молодежи», предложив молодым людям во всем мире придумать решения одной из наиболее насущных проблем здравоохранения ближайшего десятилетия: как обеспечить безопасность молодежи.

    Из различных стран мира было получено 140 предложений, охватывающих такие важные вопросы, как психическое здоровье, образование, информирование, расширение прав и возможностей, сексуальное здоровье и наркомания.
