With fast and reasonably priced fashion being a part of our lives, we all find ourselves with clothes in our closets that we don’t wear anymore for different reasons, could be they no longer fit, they aren’t in fashion anymore or they were just a bad impulsive purchase from the start. 

Pre-Loved attempts to solve the problem of having the aforementioned clothes  idly in the closet unused until they are either stored away in a storeroom, to create closet space, to be forgotten or 1 day (that hasn’t arrived in the past 3 years) be donated to charity or thrown into the trash. It would be a market place for those with clothes they wish to dispose of in a sustainable environmentally friendly manner and those who wish to buy reasonably priced clothes.

Pre-Loved is a free app which one can download, and on it upload the clothes they don’t use anymore for other app users to either buy for anything from free to what the seller may feel is a fair price. The clothes have to strictly be secondhand, thus the name Pre-Loved. The seller would upload a piece of fashion, then fill out details on what the piece is (scarf, skirt, shoes etc.), color, size, state (brand new to well-worn) and pick up location. To make reduce shipping costs, licensed  tuckshops/street vendors (almost the equivalent of 7-11 but on a much smaller and informal scale) would be the drop-off and pick up points. They would be paid a very small handling fee (about $1.50), by the buyer, because the handling has no cost involved for the vendor. The item payment would all be made through the app, and the seller be paid upon confirmed receipt of goods and the pick-up points paid monthly.

To build trust sellers would provide their address and picture identification to the Pre-Loved team to allow for tracking where necessary and the would also be rating of sellers to encourage trust and reliability. The current model would be applicable to the app being used to trade by locals with in cities or close proximity to each other.
