Education has the power to solve all the Complex Problems we are facing today. But the Current Education System doesn't address this fact. Important Real life skills and the technical skills are seldom taught effectively in the Educational Institutions. Today we must be able to associate with others and work in a more symbiotic environment to solve for all complex problems the United nation's SDGs address. Presentation and Ideation are the core pillars for creative thinking which has been comprehensively ignored by our education system
Project Origin is an initiative to Transform the Current Education System by bringing in techniques such as Self Organised Learning Environment (SOLE) and Mindfulness so that children can learn skills which are actually useful in today's world, enhancing their Critical thinking and Problem Solving Abilities.
Our Closely Designed 100Day Programme solves for this.
Education starts immediately after a child is born. The Human Brain teaches itself every moment after it's Inception. Therefore we aim to Inculcate full Spectrum of a child's learning age. Human mind is flexible to all thoughts till an age of 20 years, before it forms firm opinions. Therefore we have designed our Programme for all age groups be it for Kindergarten kids or College Students. Our Motive is to Inculcate Empathetic Emotions as well as Critical Thinking in a Child's Brain as soon as possible. Therefore we have designed our Programmes accordingly with varying Age Groups.
Students being our main beneficiaries, we focus to impart Emotional Thinking in younger students (since their emotional part of the brain is more active) while imparting Entrepreneur Thinking in Students at higher spectrum.
Our journey started when we made a visit to a school in a small village in Punjab, on roving around we discovered a well- equipped computer lab. We thought that the lab was immensely underutilized and the zeal of students was also hidden.
This inspired us to experiment SOLE, mindfulness and eleven 21st-century skills which are the basic necessity of today's competitive environment
Students go through various set of activities in the program, for e.g.:
Mindfulness Sessions, Management Drills, Problem solving, Survival Scenarios, Moral Dilemma Solutions, Presentation Sessions, Communication and Debate Sessions, Knowledge on internet and websites, Introduction to Website and UI tools, Exploring and creating sites on their own, Discovering mobile and tablet apps and various other projects which can be created to enhance Project Based Learning
We work on the value proposition of fixing the problem of force-fitted standardised curriculum and ineffective pedagogies. Every child gets a chance to pursue the field of choice by developing the skill-sets they’re interested in. Guidance on how those skills can create meaningful change in the world. Students get to explore their potentials in the fields of their choice. They experience happiness and empowerment in what they pursue in life. They get to explore Entrepreneurship Opportunities.
We try to Create a platform where children can have a unconstrained thinking space with personalised support to embed relevant 21st century skills within the children for a sustainable community development. And for this to happen, we use technology to spread this vision. We have created a Cross Device Platform for Cross Geographical Management.
