Challenge: How to use technology in education as a mean to create a green environment?


 

GoGreen is an app, which promotes climate education as a way to address climate change as a pressing challenge in 21 century.

Targeted at the school level of education, GoGreen encourages the community to take action – use less paper and maintain sustainability improvements. With the help of the app, forms, questionnaires and any formal correspondence between the school and the students, including the students’ parents is done digitally. Each user will have the opportunity to submit activities he/she performed while using digital tools instead of paper.

Users are incentivised the use GoGreen by receiving awards in the form of leaves and decorating their own virtual tree. For every bundle of new leaves, the user will gain awards such as WhatsApp stickers, templates for Instagram stories, TikTok challenge, etc. GoGreen also enables a contest between users entities (classes, schools, cities) as to which succeeded the most in digitizing its activities.
