DescriptionThe concept is to have a certification system based on a private(authorization-based) blockchain technology. The educational institutions including universities and schools will be the private network contributors and the students will have access as certificate owners with a mobile and web wallet.
Students and university graduates can share their credentials with many organizations worldwide including:
- Other Universities
- Syndicates
- Employers
- Government
The network will have the following benefits from blockchain technology
- The data is always available through decentralized servers in the network
- No one can alter the data, even a certificate correction will be logged as a new transaction
- Authorized entities(issuers) only can view the data
- Students and graduates can authorize any entity to review their certificates
- The students can use their mobile application as a wallet to save all kinds of certificates issued from different entities
- Access to the network is free for the issuers and the fees to run the network is collected from the student in first time issuing and from all entities that need to confirm the certification later on (employers).
The fees model can also be waived by a donation organization that may run the service for free or rely on small access fees collected later on from interested parties.
The attached presentation show the model applied for the case of universities in Egypt (having a lot of Syrian refugees)
We also had a partnership with the team of Tqweem.com, they had developed an online and on premises assessment web application. Using Tqweem system we can apply the assessment remotely for refugees and use the blockchain system to confirm the legality and confirm the test to the national standards.
